Each Spring CFW hosts a Florida Association State Championship 10K Racewalk with male and female entrants from throughout Florida under the auspices of USA Track & Field. We also incorporate a special Youth 5K State Championship Racewalk for boys and girls between 8 and 18 years of age.  Often a USATF Southeast Championship division is also offered within this race for walkers outside of Florida.

In addition to the championship races, CFW conducts a 5K Open Racewalk and a 5K Fitness Walk for non-USATF members.  All of these races take place simultaneously on USATF sanctioned and judged loop courses.

This race is named the Bill Mathews Memorial 10K and Youth 5K in honor of one of our early club presidents, Bill Mathews.

In 2012 the race is tentatively scheduled to be held on 15 April 2012 on the University of Central Florida campus in Orlando, Florida.
