Walking Award Participation
Notes:
- You must be registered with Track Shack as a race participant (i.e., you have a bib and number).
- You must meet CFW's Age Eligibility for the selected race.
Fitness Walking
If your one-mile time is 13 or minutes or more, you are eligible to participate in the competition for walking awards as a Fitness Walker.
- Have your number "slashed" in blue at the Central Florida Walkers' table.
- You will be judged according to one of the racewalking rules.
No Lifting (One foot must be in contact with the ground at all times — that means no jogging.)
Racewalking
If your one-mile time is less than 13 minutes you are eligible to participate in the competition for walking awards as a Racewalker.
- Have your number "slashed" in red at the Central Florida Walkers' table.
- You will be judged to both of the racewalking rules.
- No Lifting (One foot must be in contact with the ground at all times — that means no jogging.)
- The supporting leg must straighten at the knee momentarily as it passes under the body.
