Each year CFW designates a number of races as Grand Prix races. Overall placement points and age group points from these competitive races are tallied throughout the year for awards given at our annual Awards Dinner held in the Spring. The CFW Grand Prix parallels the Track Shack Grand Prix using the same overall and age group points and similar age divisions, but adds three additional races.
In all cases where Youth (ages 8 to 14) are not eligible for compete for awards at distances of 5 miles are greater, there is an alternate shorter race where they can compete for Grand Prix overall and age group points. Individuals in the Track Shack Youth 15 to 18 subgroup compete in the longer adults races in the CFW 39 and Under age group.
Note: Individuals do not receive any overall or age group points for participating in the races not designated for their age group. That is, adults and Youth 15 to 18 do not receive points for the shorter races and Youth, ages 8 to 14, do not receive points for the longer races.
